— So, we are just being here, just following these three simple instructions. And then we come to the state of just being, just living. State of just enjoying maybe, without any specific cause.

And the rest — outside the meditation — the rest is totally automatic. Totally automatic. Things are happening by themselves. Something needs to be solved — the thought is coming in the head by itself, it’s automatic. If it comes, it comes. The body starts to talk automatically. The body starts to move and do something to solve some issue. It happens automatically.
Life is totally automatic. Thoughts are just coming by themselves, according to circumstances, to solve a problem. It’s just a flow. Everything is just happening, so to speak, by itself.

Even the meditation is automatic. Even the idea “Oh, I want to join this group session today” — that thought is also coming automatically. Or not coming. The body is going to the chair, putting on Zoom — automatically. Maybe proceded by a thought “Now it is time to go to the group session.” That thought is also coming automatically, or not. If it does not come, there will not be any Zoom session. “Oh, they have already started” — then that thought is coming. “I will go there” — that thought is coming. The body, obeying the thinking, goes to the computer and puts on Zoom, automatically.

Everything is automatic. It just happens by itself. Seemingly according to circumstances, we could say in this context. It’s not really true, but we could say that. So, we can just relax — everything is happening automatically anyway.

“I want!” — oh, then that thought is coming, by itself. “I don’t want!” — then that thought is coming, by itself. We can’t see any “me” producing the thoughts. Things are just happening by themselves.

And we can actually use it as a tool. For instance, in this moment: “How is this moment, if everything is happening by itself?” Where are the problems now, if everything is happening by itself?
“We need to fix this” — now that thought is coming, by itself. “Then we can fix it in this way” — then that thought is coming by itself. “I have to fix it” — that thought is also coming by itself, and the body goes to fix it, happening by itself. All is automatic.

Following three simple statements about meditation is also happening by itself. “Oh, I have to talk to Christer because these thoughts are grabbing so much attention in meditation” — that thought is coming by itself. Going to the computer and asking on WhatsApp: “Can we meet?” — that is happening by itself. Opening Zoom and talking about this is happening by itself.

What is the problem then, if everything is happening by itself? Is there anyone who can do anything about this happening by itself? No. Can we stop it? “I don’t want this happening by itself” — that thought is also coming by itself. That protest is also coming by itself. “I’m suffering” — that thought is also coming by itself. “I don’t feel good” — that feeling is also coming by itself.

It can be relaxing sometimes to understand this — that everything is just rising and falling by itself. There is no “me” who has any power to change anything. The “me” is also a thought which is coming by itself.

Is there anyone who has any protest against this, or any comments, or questions?...
Nice to see you, Fritz! You are smiling… Maybe you can stay a little bit after, I will give you an activation, ok? Because you came later… good!
Anyone have any questions or comments?...

It’s not so easy to see that everything is happening by itself. It is easier if we use the tool: "Ok, let’s test the hypothesis. If it is true what he says, that everything is just happening by itself, how would it be felt then? How would this moment be felt? How is this moment felt? How is this moment experienced if everything is happening by itself?"

Is it a relaxation in the body? Is it a feeling “Ah, I don’t have to do anything more in life, I don’t have to fix anything then"? No, you don’t have to fix anything. If fixing is happening, it is happening by itself.

If you can see that this state that maybe you are in now — that this state of seeing that everything is actually happening by itself, I can just relax — if you can feel that this state is better than the other state — “I have to fix my life, I have to, I must, I need” — if you can compare these two states now and see that this state of "everything happening by itself" seems to be much nicer to be in, maybe then you are motivated to use this tool.

And you can use it whenever you want during the day, especially when you see that the “me”, this "fixing me”, is grabbing attention: “I have to!”… Then you can just take a deep breath: “Ok, how would this moment be felt then? How is this moment felt if everything is happening by itself?” Just let it sink in and wait… “Oh, but this is better! I don’t have to fix anything!”

“Yes, but if I don’t do it, it will not be done...” Ok, take a look — is that true? “If I don’t do it, the children will not come to childcare!” — Are you sure? Everything has been done the whole life without you. It does not stop now. Everything has always been happening by itself. Totally automatic. Life is totally automatic.

Yes, Stefan?

S: — I thought about affirmations. What about that? I mean, in practical life. So, if we do affirmations, it seems like then it’s easier to reach the target that we would like to have. I mean in practical life, enjoinment then. It does not happen by itself

C: — Well, the affirmation is coming by itself. It’s a thought.
S: — I mean the picture of something that I would like to have. Something like that…
C: — Year, ok, then that picture is painted, so to speak, inside you or outside you, by itself. And then something is happening, right? which seems to be connected to that affirmation. That is a thought, connecting the affirmation with what is actually happening in daily life. That connection is also happening by itself

S: — It comes within, from within, year
C: — Year, automatically, the connection is coming also automatically. If there is a connection really… — that can be debated from the enlightenment point of view. If everything is one – how can be any cause-effect? But that is another issue.

Whatever happens – a belief that the affirmation can help me in my life – that belief is also coming by itself. But of course, what we do here is to question our beliefs. That is also happening by itself. The questioning of beliefs is also happening by itself. Anything more, Stefan?

S: — So I continue, because I got some very interesting idea today….
C: — Who is going to continue? That is the point! When we say that everything is happening by itself, it means that there is no one doing this
S: — Year, it’s completely different level, I understand
C: — Year, but we can discuss it endlessly. That is why I’m suggesting that we compare these two states. If I think that “I have to”, and we know that state, and compare it with that state when everything is happening by itself. Then we maybe feel that it’s better, and then we are motivated to use that tool – if we feel that we want to use it. Because we have never done anything! It’s just a belief. Which happened by itself. Is it ok, Stefan?

S: — Well, we continue doing what we are doing, it’s out of life, it happened by itself, it’s like that…
C: — Nobody has done anything! You continue doing — it’s already a “me” who continue doing. There is no one who has done anything at all, ever. Things have just been happening, by themselves. It’s just an idea that “I am doing it”. And the idea that I have to do it. And it’s not a problem if I say “I think that I am doing it”. It’s not a big problem. But the problem arises when the idea comes “I have to do it”. Then it becomes a burden. And there comes suffering and struggling. And worry, regrets and so on

But of course, even the idea “I want to do this” – it’s still actually a separation idea. So if we want to see the oneness state which is already shining behind it all, we have to question even “the good I” – not only when the “me” is making some kind of struggle

This is just one more angle to somehow see that there is another state when there is no “me” who has to do anything, and it can be relaxing. And then, when we are using the tool “when everything is happening by itself” – it can actually lead to a shift. Because the system relaxes. The idea of a “me” as a fixer, doer, thinker, decider, controller — is relaxing. And then the shift can come. To oneness. That’s why we are using it. For those who likes to.
Anyone else having something? Or maybe Stefan wants to continue?
S: — No, I think it’s good, so I do understand. It’s nice to talk about it

C: — Ok, good. Anyone else having something? Yes, Amanda. I have not heard your voice for some sessions. It’s nice to have you back
A: — I have a thought like… Sometimes I’m doing something and I feel… Even not “I” feel — it’s like in the moment when I’m eating cereal I’m aware of the body eating cereal. And it’s like the glue of the person and the identity is just gone in that moment. But it’s not constant
C: — But you are using the word “I” when you describe it now. Because it’s the body eating cereal. Not “you” eating cereal
A: — No, it’s not “me” eating cereal
C: — And you said “I am aware” – no, it’s not “I” am aware. It’s awareness there, being aware of eating cereal is happening
A: — No, there is no “I”. It’s like the sphere has eyes
C: — Year, you could say that. The sphere has eyes
A: — The air has eyes
C: — Everything is known in the moment. Everything is known. The ocean knows its waves
A: — Well, I don’t know if I quite got it… I mean even now it’s here, but it’s fainter. When it’s stronger, it is noticeable. Cause it’s like “Oh!”, cause it’s like shift from being here to being there. And when it happens, it feels nice. It’s funny actually. It’s not that funny that makes you laugh but it’s just kind of funny

C: — Ridiculously funny? It's ridiculous, because we are living in the restricted area. You were doing like this with your hands now – like freedom, expansion, unlimited. As if every possibility, everything – is possible.

A: — Year, and it feels almost as if my body is here, but my eyes look from over there
C: — And you can also look at the body
A: — Year, they seem to look at the body. But it’s not consistently there. At the moment when it comes, it’s a bit like “Oh!”, but other times it’s fainting

C: — But it’s beautiful, Amanda. Because it’s how it works. It goes on and off at the beginning. We can call it "glimpses" sometimes
A: — Year, glimpses
C: — Before it gets stable. Because the whole system – the body-mind system – needs to be adjusted, adapted to this new state of living, when the body is not in tension any more, when it’s actually relaxed all the time. So, it goes on and off. It’s totally automatic. Again, automatic - today it’s a theme… It’s totally natural, by itself

A: — And it's very different experience from anything else
C: — Of course, it’s very different from anything else because it’s not an experience really, we don’t know what to call it. It is a seeing how it really is
A: — Year, and “how it really is” isn’t how I’d ever thought how it really was
C: — Exactly. That’s why we say: “through away the books”. At some point
A: — Year, and I had been trying to meditate in the past and even doing the tools, but at those moments it’s been still more in the mind. Maybe meditations were helping, but it does not seem like this. It seems, "this" just happens. I’d like that to happen more, but I can't "make" it happen. Anyway, it’s nice when it comes. It’s fun when it comes

C: — Year, there is no one who can do anything about it, it is natural, so to speak. But every meditation makes us more stable in this state of being, if I may call it that. And when it’s so stable, it also starts to grow in daily activity, by itself. It starts to show itself more and more clearly in our daily activity, going maybe from 1 percent to 2 percent, to 3 percent. Then it becomes a stream, some kind of current inside the experiences – in feelings, and even in thoughts. So it’s taking over more and more. And meditation is a very, very good way to make it happen.

A: — But I can’t do it when I’m not with you, Christer. I can’t do it on my own, it does not work.
C: — What did you say?
A: — I can only do the meditation when I am with you
C: — Ok, but I’m here 5 times per week
A: — I know, when I can I come sometimes. I just wanted to share that it is totally different...
C: — Year, and when we talked to each other at individual sessions something happened there also, right? Last time when we talked. So you are on the right track, really.
A: — Year, I follow… Anyway, thank you!
C: — Thank you for the report here!

Someone else wants to say anything? Any questions, comments, or protests? There is not so much protest in this group… I wonder why… Maybe because we are not discussing anything – we are just clarifying how it really is.

Andreas: — I have a question. I told you before, I was with Maharishi for a while. We were sitting outside in the garden and speaking, and everything was wonderful. And then someone said “Have you been together before?” Year, we have been in this situation many, many times but we had some different flow. Then I was thinking: ”ok, is this the creation just goes on and continues all the time? And it creates, and it dissolves, and if it’s like that, then it has to be automatic”. That was the thought

C: — “If it is like this?” – it's more a philosophical question, you know. But I understand what you mean. It’s looking. It’s not about philosophy really. It’s about looking and seeing how it is. And to see that we can't see any doer when we look. It’s just so easy. Where is this personal doer that we always try to refer? Well, we always use the word “I” from morning to evening, one thousand times per day. Everyone does. Even when we are thinking. Even when we are dreaming, the guy is there. “Thinking I”. What does it refer to?

But of course, it’s not enough just to talk about it, and not enough to investigate it, even in the way we do – here and in individual sessions or courses. But to go deeper and see another place inside, where there is no any “me” at all. That is what we call the presence, or the state of being. Can we find any kind of “me” there? But then of course we have to go there first, that’s why we are doing the meditation. And we do it intensively on courses, of course, to make it stable. So we could investigate that place, to see and discover – there is no doer, there is no “me” there.

Ok, then how is this moment, when there is no “me”? Well, in Andreas’s way of saying it, everything is automatic. If it is automatic in philosophical sense, always, eternally – is there any time really? Well, it can be discussed... But this moment we know.
Thank you, Andreas. One other angle.

Anyone else having something, about anything?
We see each other tomorrow then, the same time.
Thank you for today
